Two men from Coventry have been jailed for a total of 14 years for child sex offences.
Zoaeir Tamari, 20, of Queen Mary’s Road, Foleshill, and Lala Gul Utkhel, of Lockhurst Lane, Foleshill, 27, were convicted at Coventry Crown Court after a seven day trial which ended on Tuesday, January 31.
Tamari was jailed for four-and-a-half years for human trafficking for the purpose of child sex exploitation (CSE) and five years for sexual assault, to run consecutively.
Utkhel also received four-and-a-half years for human trafficking for the purpose of CSE.
The charges relate to two young girls, aged 13 and 14, who were on their way to a friend’s house in Coventry city centre in the early hours of Friday, August 26, last year.
The court heard the two defendants, along with two other men, pulled alongside the girls in a blue Jaguar XJ8.
The group paid the girls compliments and offered them a lift to their destination.
The girls accepted and the driver made his way to a garage where they bought alcohol and cigarettes.
After dropping one of the men off they arrived at a pub, and the girls were escorted to Utkhel’s flat above the premises.
They were given more alcohol and this is where Tamari took advantage of both girl’s vulnerability by sexually assaulting them both.
Police are now looking for the driver of the car, Walikhan Sultan-Khal, 25, known as Sultan, who is alleged to have raped the 13-year-old.
He was last known to be living in the Foleshill area of Coventry.
The girls were later driven back to the city centre where they raised the alarm.
Speaking after sentencing, Det Chf Insp Ian Green, of West Midlands Police, said: “These young girls found themselves in a situation they felt unable to control or get out of and what happened to them could have a devastating impact on them for some time to come.
“Fortunately the girls were brave enough to report what had happened to them immediately.
“We are committed to bringing sexual offenders to justice to protect other young girls from harm.
“I would urge anyone who knows the whereabouts of Sultan-Khal to get in touch with us as soon as possible to help us progress our investigation.”
The sentencing of Tamari and Utkhel comes within a week of five other men in Coventry receiving lengthy jail terms for similar offences.
Information can be given to police on 101 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Jailed Coventry sex beast faces longer sentence after raping 17-year-old girl
A jury has convicted a Coventry man of rape – unaware until after returning their verdict that he is already serving a nine-and-a-half-year sentence for other sex offences.
And a judge has ordered that a report should be prepared on Zohair Tomari - also spelled Zoaeir Tamari - to assess whether he poses an ongoing danger to women before he is sentenced.
Tomari, 20, of Lady Lane, Longford, had denied raping his 17-year-old victim in 2014, but was found guilty following a trial at Warwick Crown Court.
Only then was it revealed that last month he was jailed for nine-and-a-half years by a judge at Coventry Crown Court after being convicted of trafficking for child sexual exploitation and sexual assaults.
Prosecutor Jeremy Janes said that in August 2014, having been befriended by Tomari, the 17-year-old victim and a 15-year-old girl spent some time at his flat.
At some stage the police turned up looking for the younger girl, who had been reported missing, and the older girl then complained that she had been raped by Tomari.
She said she had not consented to intercourse, and that she had made it plain to him she was not consenting.
Mr Janes said that when the police turned up looking for the younger girl, the 17-year-old told an officer she needed to speak to him in private – and then revealed she had been raped.
Tomari was arrested, and when he was interviewed he said they had been getting along well, but that he had been drinking too much and went into the bedroom to lie down.
He claimed the girl was already there, lying naked on his bed, and that they hugged and kissed before having intercourse, adding that he genuinely believed she was consenting.
But the jury rejected his story and found him guilty of raping her – and the court then heard that last month he had been jailed for four-and-a-half years for human trafficking, with a consecutive five-year sentence for sexual assaults.

Convicted sex beast given more jail time for raping teenage girl
A Coventry man already serving a prison sentence for sex offences has been convicted of raping a teenager.
Zoaeir Tamari, 21, was found guilty of raping the 17-year-old girl at a flat in Foleshill in August 2014 following a four-day trial at Warwick Crown Court.
He is already serving nine-and-a-half years for human trafficking for the purpose of child sexual exploitation (CSE) and the sexual assault of two young girls aged 13 and 14.
And now Tamari, from Queen Mary’s Road, Foleshill, has been sentenced to a further eight years in jail to begin halfway through his existing sentence.
He will also be placed on the sex offenders’ register for life.
Detective Inspector Jo Floyd, from West Midlands Police, said: “This is another victory for our CSE team who work tirelessly along with Coventry’s Horizon team to protect young people from sexual predators such as Tamari.
“Young people can find themselves in desperate situations, often through drink or drugs, but no means no, and rape is a crime for which we will use the full force of the law to bring offenders to justice.
“There are a number of agencies who can help young people and their parents or carers to report incidents and get the support they need.”
