Coventry City Council said it will be inspecting the damage
Railings have been pulled down in what’s said to be an act of vandalism at a Coventry park.
Reader Norman Brown contacted the Telegraph with a photo of damaged railings saying: “Vandalised new playground in Spencer Park, Earlsdon."
The city council said it will be inspecting the damage.
Our photographer Nick Wilkinson had this to say of the site: “The construction is very poor as kids should not be able to push barriers concreted in.
“The workmanship is dreadful with only a couple of inches going down into soft tarmac and no strength or strutts supporting the metal work, a botched job in construction.”
A city council spokesman said: “The work at Spencer Park to refurbish the tennis courts is still underway.
“We will be sending out a member of our team to inspect and assess the damage.”
