These are the injuries a teenager sustained after allegedly being attacked with a bottle in school.

The pupil from Ernesford Grange Academy was left needing stitches to his lip and with bruising to the back of his head after the incident on Monday, March 20.

The teenager’s mother, who asked not to be identified, has now contacted police over the incident.

She says her son is being kept at home because he is too scared to go back to school.

According to the mother-of-four, her son was allegedly jumped in the school’s corridor before being attacked in a classroom.

“They tripped him up and hit him over the head with a bottle. He tried to go back into the classroom, that’s when he got punched in the face,” she said.

“He video called me screaming to get him, so I rang his sister as she could get there quicker than me.”

The boy required twenty stitches and has not returned to school.

“It’s not the first time we’ve had to go up to the school for this kind of bullying. We’ve been to the school several times. The [bullies] have taken it a step too far,” his mother said.

“He’s quite shook up. He wasn’t expecting what happened to him.

“We are aware threats were given before the attack, then he was attacked with no reasoning.”

Another teen has “held his hands up” to committing the attack and has been punished with an exclusion.

However the mother fears that the punishment doesn’t send out a strong enough anti-bullying message.

She said: “I’m not sending him to school. I’m really unhappy that all that has happened is the child has been excluded for two days.
"If that was out on the street, someone would definitely be arrested for GBH.”

Her son has yet to return to school.

The school’s headteacher Denise Burrows told the Telegraph that they couldn’t comment with specific details as a police investigation is underway.

Ms Burrows said: “We had a very positive meeting with the family last week and the matter is being referred to the police so we are unable to comment on specific details.

“The behaviour record has been amended and the student who was involved in the assault is currently still on a fixed term exclusion."

She added: “We take the safety of our pupils very seriously and we are committed to working with the family and the police to ensure that the incident is followed up correctly.”

West Midlands Police have confirmed they are investigating and have been contacted for comment.

Secondary school, assault.... Not unreasonable to expect criminal charges to follow against the one that 'held his hands up' is it? :stir: :stir: :stir:
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.
