National Grid - Gas - letter confusion...

Postby dutchman » Sat Feb 25, 2017 2:36 am

Received an important-looking brown envelope from national grid saying (on the outside) that the gas supply was going to be cut off. Inside, the letter said that although there would be a lot of work going on the street "there would not be any interruption to the gas supply"! :clown:

So which is it, am I going to be cut off or not?

I would phone them up to find out then questioning their contridiction message.

I bet they've got the crystal mark for clear English as well?
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

I'm guessing they'll come and knock the door immediately prior to any interruption of the supply. Prior to that they're unlikely to have a clue whether it will happen or not.
