Today's conundrum: if Moths like the light so much,
Spoiler:
why do they come out at night?
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

To keep away from bee stings  seriously though In a behavior called transverse orientation, some insects navigate by flying at a constant angle relative to a distant light source, such as the moon but around man-made lights, such as a campfire or your porch light, the angle to the light source changes as a moth flies by this confuses it.

Moths are the biggest pollinators they will nest in leaves hence why you will see leaves curled up in winter with like a cob web around it I have them in my garden shrubs.
