The 16A service has been rerouted until further notice

A badly placed skip has forced a bus company to temporarily re-route one of its services.

The 16A service between Keresley and University Hospital in Coventry has been unable to travel down Bolingbroke Road in Stoke.

National Express Coventry first reported the problem at around 1.15pm on Tuesday and told commuters that the service would be diverted via Binley Road and Stoke Green until further notice.

Residents who get the bus from Humber Road or Bolingbroke Road in Stoke are being told to travel to alternative stops in Aldermoor Lane or Binley Road.

Services 16 & 16A combine to provide a service between Keresley Road (The Shepherd), Radford Road, Coventry City Centre, Stoke Aldermoor, Ernesford Grange, Binley & Warwickshire Shopping Park up to every ten minutes during the week.

Now, I thought you needed a council permit to place a skip like this? CCC dropping another clanger?

The neighbours could also help by not parking alongside it.
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

People park down both sides of our street which means cars have to stop and wait for others to pass in single file. It's quite ridiculous. :fuming:
