Ed Balls' unlikely victory charge on Strictly Come Dancing has come to a devastating end as he and Katya Jones have become the tenth couple to leave the show.
Despite his stint as a male model, Ed and Katya found themselves in the dreaded dance-off for the first time, against Judge Rinder and Oksana Platero, who were also in the bottom two for the first time this series.
Ed and Katya delivered their Zoolander-inspired tango to '(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction' by The Rolling Stones, while Judge Rinder and Oksana performed their rumba to Bill Withers's 'Lean On Me'.
On Saturday's show, Ed and Katya scored 23 to Judge Rinder and Oksana's 29, as well as finishing bottom of the Cha Cha Challenge, so it came as little surprise that all the judges voted unanimously to save Judge Rinder and Oksana.
It does, however, mean we miss out on the glorious sight of Ed and Katya doing a rumba next week. We'll always have the Gangnam Style salsa to remember, Ed…
Following his exit, the former shadow chancellor revealed he was glad to leave the show "on a high", stating the obvious that he "got so much further" than he ever expected.
"It's beyond my expectations to ever have got as many votes as we have had to," he enthused. "I would have loved to have gone to the final. It feels like a victory to me not a defeat. Blackpool was my Wembley and we won at Wembley, so that's great."
Katya – who Ed believed would be an "even bigger" star on Strictly – added: "I've learnt so much from Ed, what a wonderful person he is. We have created so many memories for ourselves and for people and for the show, and I will remember that."
Sunday's results show also saw a performance from Ellie Goulding, who sang her new single 'Still Falling For You'.
The remaining five couples will take part in the quarter final of Strictly Come Dancing next Saturday (December 3) at 7pm and Sunday (December 4) at 7.20pm on BBC One.
