Woman punched in face during night time attack at bus stop in Binley

Police are appealing for an Audi driver to come forward who helped the victim

A woman has been punched in the face by an unknown attacker while waiting for a bus in Coventry .

The incident happened at a bus stop in Binley Road, Binley, on September 18 between 9.30pm and 10pm.

A man in a black Audi pulled up to help the victim, causing the offender to run off.

West Midlands Police are now appealing for the driver of the Aud i to come forward as he may have seen the attack and could help police with their investigation.

A spokesman said: “It’s understood that a man in a black Audi pulled up to help the victim, causing the offender to run off .

“We’re now appealing for the driver of the car to get in contact with us to assist the investigation.

“If you were the driver, or think you know who it may be please contact PC Vicky Lucas.”

Anyone with information on the driver or the attack can contact PC Lucas on 101 or by emailing v.lucas@west-midlands.pnn.police.uk.

Far too little information here. I suspect that the police are aware of much more.
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.
