A man who swore at police officers before exposing himself and urinating in the street has been fined by the courts.

David Richard Pemberton was outside the Flying Standard pub, in Coventry city centre , when the officers walked past at around 6.30pm on June 14.

He hurled abuse at them and as they began to issue him with a fixed penalty notice he became aggressive, took down his shorts and began urinating.

The 43-year-old, of Agincourt Road, Cheylesmore , was arrested at that point and charged with committing an act outraging public decency by behaving in an indecent manner and resisting arrest.

He pleaded guilty to the charges at Coventry Magistrates’ Court and was fined £200 and ordered to pay £135 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
