Former Spon End pub sold at auction to mystery buyer

The Black Horse Pub in Spon End has a new owner.

The Coventry pub was sold at by estate agency Loveitts at a recent auction to a buyer who has not been revealed by the agency.

Sally Smith, Loveitts auctions manager in Coventry, said: “It wasn’t sold to anyone locally, it was somebody from out of the area and I’m not sure what their plans are for the property.”

The building was sold last month at one of estate agency's regular auctions at the Village Urban Resort in Dolomite Avenue, Tile Hill, Coventry.

It was the second time the property had been up for auction after failing to find a buyer at the first auction.
