Coventry families were left high and dry this half term after a city pool was closed to the public.

But bosses of Centre AT7’s splash pool hope it will open again on Wednesday.

Today’s closure, which has fallen during the school holidays, was said to be for maintenance.

Coventry Sports Foundation tweeted: “The splash pool at Centre AT7 is still closed. We hope to have it open again for tomorrow. Please keep checking our updates. Thank you.”

The Bell Green Road centre opened in 1987 and also runs a children’s play, gym and a 25m swimming pool which are all open.

A spokesman for the centre confirmed the splash pool - which features slides and water features - closed for maintenance reasons but these had not been prompted by any incident.

She added bosses would know first thing Wednesday morning if the pool can re-open.

Closed for maintenance during school holidays? :clown:
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.
