Flames from the caravan also spread to two neighbouring homes in Uplands

A caravan was set on fire and the flames spread to two homes in a suspected arson attack in Coventry this morning.

Fire crews were called to Uplands, in Stoke Heath, at just before 4am after a member of the public spotted the blaze and called 999.

West Midlands Fire Service said two fire engines from Foleshill station and one from Binley were sent to the scene.

The firefighters used breathing apparatus as they tackled the flames, while police were also called and are now treating the incident as arson.

Anyone who has information on the fire is asked to call police on 101.
