Magistrates handed Angelos Fousketakis a suspended sentence after he admitted harassment

A young man who put up a poster outside his victim’s home branding him a rapist has avoided prison.

Angelos Fousketakis admitted harassment at Coventry Magistrates’ Court and was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison suspended for 18 months.

The court heard how Fousketakis, 21, of Trinity Street in the city centre, repeatedly called and text his victim, and also placed a poster outside his home calling him a rapist.

Magistrates cited the planning in Fousketakis’ actions and the pain he inflicted on his victim as reasons for a custodial sentence.

He was also ordered to undertake 150 hours unpaid work and to pay £500 compensation, £135 court costs and a £80 victim surcharge.

It was hardly a 'custodial sentence' since it was suspended!

What an absolutely despicable thing to do.
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.
