Police talk man down from Kwik Fit roof in Foleshill

Police negotiators were called to talk down a 'vulnerable' man on a roof in Foleshill.



The incident happened at around 7am on Saturday at Kwik Fit Plus in Foleshill Road.

West Midlands Police and crews from West Midlands Fire Service were called to reports of a 'vulnerable man on a roof.'

Crews from Coventry Fire Station provided a hydraulic platform for police so negotiators could gain safe access to him.

A spokesperson from West Midlands Police said: “We were called to a man on top of a roof. He was brought down in conjunction with the fire service.

“He was checked over by the ambulance service. He had a broken bone and is having treatment for that.”
