Strictly flattens X Factor on Sunday night with series high

Strictly Come Dancing was once again the top on Sunday night with a massive average audience of 10.82 million tuning in at 7.30pm for Blackpool results week.

Later, Antiques Roadshow intrigued 6.1m (24.7%) at 8pm and The Hunt attracted 4m (16.8%) at 9pm.

The X Factor once again failed to trump Strictly, with 6.66m (33%) tuning in at 8pm to see Anton Stephans leave the competition. A further 118k tuned in on ITV+1.

Earlier, Jekyll and Hyde attracted 1.6m (6.9%) at 7pm (107k on +1), and I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! was once again ITV's biggest show, pulling in 8.77m viewers (36.9%) at 9pm (327k on +1).

Over on BBC Two, Robert Peston Goes Shopping saw 1.12m (4.8%) tune in at 7pm, Ireland With Simon Reeve attracted 2.39m (9.8%) at 8pm and Monty Don's Secret Garden brought in 1.39m (5.8%) at 9pm.

Channel 4 saw Building Hitler's Supergun: The Plot to Destroy London educated 1.14m (4.7%) at 8pm and Homeland saw 1.01m (4.2%) tune in at 9pm.

Fail Army attracted 389k (1.6%) at 7.45pm, Impractical Jokers entertained 287k (1.2%) at 8.30pm, and Angels and Demons hooked 962k (5.6%) at 9pm on Channel 5.


I only watched the Strictly results show myself because a member of the audience tipped me off that the result was fixed and it was clear from watching it that the judges were lying through their teeth. :fuming:
