Coronation Street claims 7.4m with Callum death fallout

Coronation Street topped Monday's ratings (September 28) with the Platt family's ongoing murder cover-up, overnight figures show.

The Weatherfield soap brought in 7.37m (35.7%) at 7.30pm on ITV and 151k (0.7%) on +1 as Callum's mum Marion and sidekick Gemma both arrived on the Street with questions to ask about his disappearance. 7.08m (31.6%) returned at 8.30pm and 187k (0.9%) on +1 as Kylie tricked Gemma into thinking that Callum is still alive.

EastEnders attracted 6.48m (29.7%) at 8pm on BBC One as Max fled from court after being found guilty of Lucy's murder. BBC Three's repeat secured 398k (2.4%) at 10pm.

The aftermath of Robert's shooting paid off for Emmerdale, claiming 6.08m (32.8%) at 7pm on ITV and 153k (0.7%) on +1 - the show's best rating since August 10.

Hollyoaks interested 787k (4.6%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Scott was revealed as Diane's mystery poisoner (+1: 39k / 0.2%), while E4's first look followed with 609k (3.3%) at 7pm (+1: 65k / 0.3%).

Neighbours aired to 686k (11.8%) at 1.45pm and 664k (5.3%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Josh and Naomi revisited their romantic spark.

Doctors grabbed 1.3m (22.5%) at 1.45pm on BBC One as Ayesha struggled following a night out partying.

Home and Away managed 216k (3.6%) at 1.15pm and 563k (3.7%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look had 317k (1.9%) at 6.30pm.
