Celebrity Big Brother is back up to 1.4 million on Monday

Celebrity Big Brother bounced back in the ratings on Bank Holiday Monday as tempers began to rise yet again.

Channel 5's explosive reality show was up from Sunday's episode by around 400,000 viewers, climbing to an average overnight audience of 1.43 million (6.9%) at 9pm (155k/1.0% on +1).

Earlier, Beware: The Cops Are Watching attracted 793k (3.5%) at 8pm, while a Botched Up Bodies boobs special fascinated 641k (4.1%) at 10pm.

On BBC One, coverage of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2015 brought in 4.52m (23.1%) at 6.30pm. Wallace & Gromit: A Close Shave entertained 3.10m (14.5%) at 7.30pm, Room 101 amused 2.27m (9.8%) at 8.30pm, and Lenny Henry biographical drama Danny and the Human Zoo interested 3.41m (17.4%) at 9pm.

BBC Two's Great British Menu appealed to 1.62m (7.6%) at 7.30pm, followed by University Challenge with 2.62m (11.6%) at 8pm. Only Connect quizzed 2.20m (9.6%) at 8.30pm, and An Evening with Harry and Paul tickled 1.64m (7.9%) at 9pm.

On ITV, Britain as Seen on ITV entertained 2.91m (12.8%) at 8pm, while Dinosaur Britain brought in 1.81m (8.8%) at 9pm.

On Channel 4, Bear's Wild Weekends with Jonathan Ross attracted 686k (3.1) at 7.30pm (154k/0.7%), followed by Food Unwrapped with 1.24m (5.3%) at 8.30pm (102k/0.5%) and The Catch with 1.43m (6.9%) at 9pm.

E4's latest episode of Made in Chelsea: LA attracted 407k (2.0%) at 9pm (124/0.8%).
