Who Do You Think You Are? impressed again on Thursday evening by topping the night overall outside soaps, according to overnight data.

Actress Jane Seymour's turn on the ancestry series was higher than Paul Hollywood's episode last week by around 200,000 viewers on BBC One, taking in an average 4.37 million (22.8%) at 9pm. Earlier, Traffic Cops brought in 3.17m (16.6%) at 7.30pm.

On BBC Two, The Great British Menu appealed to 1.72m (9.1%) at 7.30pm, followed by Building the Ancient City with 1.20m (6.1%) at 8pm.

ITV's celebrity shepherding series Flockstars dipped again to 1.44m (7.4%) at 8.30pm (104k/0.5% on +1). The Wonder of Britain attracted 1.46m (7.6%) at 9pm.

On Channel 4, Location, Location, Location continued with 1.58m (8.1%) at 8pm (256k/1.3%), while 1.20m (6.3%) moaned along with Very British Problems at 9pm (247k/1.7%).

Channel 5's Supersized season continued with 471k (2.4%) at 8pm, followed by Trapped in a Cult with 687k (3.6%) at 9pm. Person of Interest's double-bill thrilled 497k (3.3%) at 10pm and 455k (5.3%) at 11pm.
