ITV's tribute to Cilla Black brings in 3.4m on Tuesday

A total of 3.35 million viewers paid tribute to Cilla Black on Tuesday night (August 4), according to overnight data.

ITV's hour-long tribute The One and Only Cilla Black, which featured an introduction from her close friend Paul O'Grady, attracted a 15.8% audience share at 9pm, and was watched by a further 249k (1.6%) on +1.

Elsewhere, Love Your Garden appealed to 3.16m (16.2%) at 8pm (186k/0.9% on +1), and a repeat of Sheridan Smith's drama Cilla gathered 1.23m (11.7%) at 10.40pm (106k/2.0%).

BBC One's New Tricks topped the ratings outside of the soaps with an impressive 5.37m (25.5%) at 9pm. Earlier, Rip Off Britain intrigued 3.60m (20.2%) at 7pm.

BBC Two's Great British Menu continued with 1.73m (8.4%) at 7.30pm, before The House That £100k Built interested 1.70m (8.7%) at 8pm, and Are Our Kids Tough Enough? Chinese School fascinated 1.82m (8.6%) at 9pm.

Over on Channel 4, The Three Day Nanny brought in 960k (4.9%) at 8pm (124k/0.6%), while Hunt for the Arctic Ghost Ship appealed to 1.45m (6.9%) at 9pm (248k/1.6%).

The Dog Rescuers with Alan Davies was seen by 1.13m (5.8%) on Channel 5 at 8pm, before Can't Pay? Benefits Special averaged 1.45m (6.9%) at 9pm (109k/0.7%), and Botched Up Bodies interested 785k (5.0%) at 10pm (57k/0.7%).

Meanwhile, E4's Tattoo Fixers continued with 422k (2.8%) at 10pm.
