Glastonbury coverage peaks with 1.17 million on Friday

BBC Two's Glastonbury 2015 coverage peaked with 1.17 million (6.5%) on Friday evening (June 26).

An average audience of 980k (5.5%) tuned in to watch BBC Two's Glastonbury coverage from 8pm. It returned with 940k (5.2%) at 10pm, while a further 570k (9.7%) stayed up late to watch a mixture of highlights and live coverage at 11pm.

BBC Three aired various Glastonbury sets throughout the evening, beginning with 235k (1.4%) for James Bay & Catfish and the Bottlemen at 7pm. Jungle & the Vaccines continued with 340k (1.9%) at 8pm, while 869k (9%) watched Rudimental play the festival from 11pm.

BBC Four's Glastonbury coverage included 383k (2%) for Motorhead at 8.30pm and 507k (2.7%) for Mark Ronson at 9pm.

For the second week running, The Graham Norton Show was the evening's highest-rated programme outside of soaps. An average audience of 3.41m (25.4%) watched guests including Lewis Hamilton at 10.35pm.

BBC One's evening began with 3.24 million (20.1%) for The One Show at 7pm, followed by 2.43 million (14%) for Would I Lie You?.

Celebrity Masterchef continued with 3.29 million (17.5%) from 8.30pm until 10pm.

Outside of Glastonbury coverage, BBC Two attracted 1.69 million (8.8%) for Gardener's World at 8.30pm, followed by 940k (5%) for Arthur Ashe: More Than a Champion at 9pm.

Over on ITV, Gino's Italian Escape entertained 2.47 million (13.7%) at 8pm on ITV, while 2.11 million (11.3%) watched Doc Martin at 9pm.

8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown was once again Channel 4's highest-rated show with 1.19 million (6.4%). It was sandwiched between 710k (3.8%) for Location, Location, Location and 990k (6.1%) for The Last Leg at 10pm.

The latest Big Brother Live Eviction was seen by an average audience of 1.08 million (5.9%) at 9pm.

A further 526k (3.9%) stuck around for Big Brother's Bit on the Side at 10.30pm, while 288k (3.4%) watched live coverage from the house at 11.30pm.
