A man was attacked with what police think may have been a machete while he walked in Tile Hill last night.The 26-year-old suffered head and arm injuries in the attack, which happened between 7-7.20pm.
After being struck with the weapon in Gravel Hill the victim managed to run off. He was found in nearby Lesingham Drive.
The man was taken to hospital and treated for his injuries, which aren’t life threatening, before being discharged.
The area was sealed off last night while police forensic teams scoured the area.
Insp Johanna Comer from Coventry Police said: “Police investigations are on-going into the incident - anyone with information or who saw what took place last night please call 101.”
