EastEnders was Thursday evening's most-watched programme (June 4) with Cindy's shock threat, overnight figures show.

The Walford soap brought in 5.89m (33.4%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Cindy vowed to expose the truth about Lucy's death unless Jane and Ian cooperated with her plans for Beth. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 456k (2.7%) at 10pm.

Emmerdale remained steady with 5.44m (33.4%) at 7pm on ITV and 140k (0.7%) on +1 as Victoria told Harriet and Laurel the truth about Ashley's accident. 5.33m (28.4%) returned at 8pm and 220k (1.1%) on +1 as Laurel caused devastation all round by mistakenly announcing that Ashley had died.

Hollyoaks attracted 709k (4.7%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Celine's scam was discovered by Dr S'avage, while E4's first look followed with 550k (3.4%) at 7pm and 113k (0.6%) on +1.

Neighbours aired to 591k (10.9%) at 1.45pm and 694k (6.2%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Amber, Daniel and Josh agreed on a speedy paternity test.

Doctors grabbed 1.09m (20.3%) at 1.45pm on BBC One as Howard tried to get to the bottom of problems at The Mill.

Home and Away continued with 136k (2.5%) at 1.15pm and 448k (3.3%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look had 229k (1.5%) at 6.30pm.
