EastEnders claimed 5.71m (30.0%) at 8pm on BBC One as viewers learned of Kat's secret son in an extended 35-minute slot. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 394k (2.8%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale attracted 5.19m (30.8%) at 7pm on ITV as Marlon was left stunned by more revelations about Laurel's recent problems.
