Death in Paradise passes 7m for BBC One on Thursday night

Death in Paradise enjoyed a ratings boost on EastEnders' anniversary night, according to overnight figures for Thursday (February 19).

The drama brought in 7.08 million viewers (29.7%) for BBC One at 9pm to be the most watched show behind EastEnders, which attracted over 10m for both its episodes.

Later in the evening, Question Time interested 3.01m (26.9%) at 10.45pm.

On BBC Two, The Great British Sewing Bee continued with 2.13m (8.8%) at 8pm, before Reinventing the Royals appealed to 1.78m (7.3%) at 9pm, and Charlie Brooker's Weekly Wipe gathered 960k (5.1%) at 10pm.

ITV's coverage of the Europa League match between Liverpool and Besiktas averaged 3.31m (13.9%) between 7.45pm and 10.15pm (59k/0.3% on +1).

Over on Channel 4, the latest instalment of Location, Location, Location informed 1.23m (5.1%) at 8pm (156k/0.6%), while Cucumber lost 200,000 viewers with 350k (1.5%) at 9pm (115k/0.7%). My Tattoo Addiction aired to 710k (4.2%) at 10pm (76k/0.8%).

Channel 5's Benefits Britain: Life on the Dole attracted 697k (2.9%) at 8pm (56k/0.2%) and Britain's Biggest Primary School was watched by 642k (2.6%) at 9pm (43k/0.3%). The new season of The Mentalist continued with 627k (3.6%) at 10pm (52k/0.5%).

On BBC Three, Bangkok Airport brought in 640k (2.6%) at 9pm, while E4's Banana tickled 58k (0.3%) at 9pm. Sky Atlantic's Fortitude rose to 449k (1.8%) at 9pm.
