The first visit to Walford was the most-watched show of the day, bringing in 7.04m (32.9%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Charlie and Roxy were upset to hear that an attempt to bring Ronnie out of her coma had failed.
6.63m (28.6%) returned for the second episode at 8.30pm, which saw Kat tell Alfie that she wanted a divorce.
BBC Three's repeats later secured 445k (2.9%) and 506k (4.5%) at 10.30pm and 11pm respectively.
Emmerdale attracted 6.27m (31.2%) at 7pm on ITV and 150k (0.7%) on +1 as Cain told Charity the truth about his health scare. 6.15m (27.8%) returned at 8pm and 152k (0.7%) on +1 as Charity faced a dilemma over whether to warn Moira about the situation.
Hollyoaks interested 898k (4.6%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Tegan rejected Ziggy, while E4's first look continued to perform well with 880k (4.4%) at 7pm and 171k (0.8%) on +1.
Neighbours appealed to 618k (8.9%) at 1.45pm and 792k (4.9%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Rain continued to cause trouble for Daniel and Amber.
Home and Away mustered 231k (3.2%) at 1.15pm and 504k (2.7%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look had 360k (1.8%) at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, Doctors continued with 1.44m (20.8%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
