Coventry City Council 'must improve' after damning report

It would appear that I'm not the only one to think CCC is useless!

Coun Phil Townshend, deputy leader of the council, admitted the results were unacceptable.

No they are scandalous and demonstrate incompetence on a grand scale.

He said: “Of course it’s not good enough.

No it bl**dy well isn't.

“But I think if you look again in 12 months time...

Hardly fills me with confidence when I look at the performance to date.

“We have a number of highly paid council officers...

Far too many. Time to cull.

“I don’t think we want to talk about officers losing their jobs...

Oh yes we do! Perform or get out!

The council did show improvement in areas such as reducing the number of people claiming unemployment benefit

That number has fallen solely because the government no longer includes people who've been 'sanctioned' in the unemployment benefit statistics!
