Emmerdale rose back above the 6 million mark on Wednesday evening (September 24) as its big week continued, overnight figures show.
6.07m (33.5%) tuned in at 7pm on ITV and 274k (1.2%) on +1 as Declan violently attacked Charity after she discovered his plan to kill her. The dramatic storyline boosted the show to its best figure since June 16.
Coronation Street was the most-watched soap of the day, bringing in 6.82m (34.3%) at 7.30pm on ITV and 268k (1.2%) on +1 as Eileen finally turned her back on Todd.
Hollyoaks interested 881k (5.4%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Maxine and Patrick's dramas continued, while E4's first look followed with 657k (3.6%) at 7pm and 120k (0.5%) on +1.
Neighbours attracted 712k (11.5%) at 1.45pm and 731k (5.5%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Terese struggled to keep her family together.
Home and Away managed 314k (4.9%) at 1.15pm and 489k (3.2%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look claimed 274k (1.7%) at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, Doctors continued with 1.38m (22.5%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
