Educating the East End watched by 1.4 million on Channel 4

Educating the East End appealed to around 1.4 million viewers last night (September 18), according to overnight figures.

The latest episode of the Channel 4 show nabbed 1.41m (6.9%) in the 9pm hour. It followed Location, Location, Location, which earlier earned 1.43m (6.9%).

On BBC One, DIY SOS took 4.2m (20.2%) from 8pm, before Who Do You Think You Are? took 4.64m (22.7%).

BBC Two's Celebrity Antiques Road Trip scored 1.37m (7.6%) from 7pm. Afterwards, Operation Stonehenge: What Lies Beneath and Penguins on a Plane: Great Animal Moves were watched by 1.67m (8%) and 1.07m (5.2%) respectively.

ITV's Paul O'Grady: For the Love of Dogs was seen by 3.5m (16.6%) from 8.30pm, and Chasing Shadows continued with 2.69m (13.2%) from 9pm.

On Channel 5, Britain's Craziest Commutes managed 609k (2.9%) in the 8pm hour.

Illegals: Breaking into Dallas had 980k (4.8%) later, and new Dallas attracted 372k (2.3%) from 10pm.

On the multichannels, Glee entertained 125k (0.6%) from 9pm on Sky1 and ITV2's Celebrity Juice drew 850k (5.2%) from 10pm.
