I find Norton a pain, and it can be a b*gger to get rid of. IIRC Norton do a programme that removes it.

I use Avast. You register once every 12 months and get regular downloads/updates. It's free and over the last few years I've had no problems at all.

I have also used the free version of AVG in the past, but I found that slowed the computer down too much.

Microsoft essentials will also give you basic cover for free.
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

I reverted to AVG (Free Edition) after problems with Avast.

I used to have AVG years ago, and recently Bullguard, paid versions.
But my Bullguard has now run out, so I thought I'd go back and try a another free anti virus, so I have downloaded Bitdefender, seems a good one. I'll give it a try anyway.
