A broken down bus brought Coventry city centre to a standstill this afternoon.

The single-decker National Express conked out on a zebra crossing in Trinity Street at about midday.

It caused long queues of buses and traffic to stack up behind in Hales Street, Bishop Street, Corporation Street and Tower Street.

It meant paramedics struggled to reach an elderly woman who had collapsed in Trinity Street, and an elderly man who had fallen over outside the Old Grammar School.

Thanks to the imbeciles that designed the system where only one bus can pass. - I wonder if the imbeciles concerned will now waste yet more tax payers money by widening the routes?

I truly believe that our collective council only has one brain cell and that most of the time it is resting!
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

They most certainly have, and they will continue with impunity due to the lack of interest by the good citizens of the city. Sadly, until the citizens awake, the idiots will continue to run the asylum.
