Coronation Street stays top of soap-ratings on Thursday

Coronation Street was Thursday's top-rated soap (June 5) as Carla Barlow was left devastated, overnight figures show.

6.83m (32.3%) watched at 8.30pm on ITV and 304k (1.5%) on +1 as Carla tragically lost her unborn baby in a one-off Thursday episode.

EastEnders attracted 6.01m (32.5%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as desperate Billy took the drastic step of kidnapping his children. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 386k (2.7%) at 10.30pm.

Emmerdale interested 5.58m (32.5%) at 7pm on ITV and 159k (0.8%) on +1 as Sam decided to do a runner with Belle, while the audience increased to 5.76m (29.2%) at 8pm and 254k (1.2%) on +1 as both were arrested when the police caught up with them.

Hollyoaks managed 877k (5.6%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Darren was rushed to hospital following his heart attack, while E4's first look followed with 744k (4.3%) at 7pm and 101k (0.5%) on +1.

Over on Channel 5, Neighbours appealed to 623k (10.2%) at 1.45pm and 596k (4.9%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away entertained 236k (3.6%) at 1.15pm, 505k (3.5%) at 6pm and 328k (2.1%) with 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, a double bill of Doctors was seen by 1.31m (21.6%) at 1.45pm and 1.12m (20.2%) at 2.15pm on BBC One.
