Coronation Street and EastEnders remained close in the ratings on Friday evening (May 16), overnight figures show.
Corrie was the most-watched soap of the day, bringing in 6.39m (36.1%) at 7.30pm on ITV and 144k (0.7%) on +1 as Maria's manipulations caused more problems for Tyrone and Fiz. Later - airing against BBC One's MasterChef final - Corrie saw a slight increase in viewers but a drop in share, with Fiz's affair suspicions attracting 6.4m (29.8%) at 8.30pm and 288k (1.5%) on +1.
EastEnders claimed 6.32m (32.6%) at 8pm on BBC One as the Beales learned that Lucy's body had been released by the coroner. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 451k (3.1%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale interested 5.28m (33.6%) at 7pm on ITV and 142k (0.7%) on +1 as Alicia delivered Priya's baby.
Hollyoaks managed 736k (5.2%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Rick took action against Sonny, while E4's first look was the most-watched multichannel programme of the day with 632k (4.0%) at 7pm and 120k (0.6%) on +1.
Over on Channel 5, Paul's turning point in Neighbours was shared with 561k (9.9%) at 1.45pm and 701k (6.6%) at 5.30pm.
Elsewhere, BBC One's Doctors had 1.19m (21.2%) at 1.45pm.
