Police are on the hunt for a sword-wielding robber who struck at a Nuneaton shop wearing a Hallowe'en-style skeleton mask.
Detectives are investigating a robbery which happened at the Premier Convenience Store, which is located on the corner of Lister Street and Attleborough Road.
The offender targeted the business at shortly after 7.30pm on Sunday night.
The thief, who was wearing a white or green skeleton mask to conceal his identity, threatened an assistant with what police are calling a 'sword type weapon'.
He made good his escape along Lister Street with an undisclosed quantity of cash and a gold necklace worn by his robbery victim.
"Police investigating a robbery which happened in Nuneaton on Sunday are appealing for witnesses to come forward to help them trace the offender," explained a spokesperson for Warwickshire Police.
"The incident happened at about 7.35pm at the Premier Convenience Store on the corner of Lister Street and Attleborough Road.
"An offender walked into the shop and threatened the male assistant with a sword type weapon before stealing cash and a gold necklace which was being worn by the victim.
"He then ran off along Lister Street."
The offender is described as a white male of medium or slim build, 5ft 5ins to 5ft 7ins tall.
As well as the white or green skeleton character mask, he was also wearing a dark hooded top and black Nike Air Max trainers with a green tick logo.
Det Sgt Bob Jamieson and PSI Dave Johnson are investigating the incident and would like to hear from anyone who has any information which would help them with their inquiries.
