A man has died in a horror crash in Coventry during the early hours of Sunday.The fatal collision happened at the junction of Radford Road and Beake Avenue, in Radford, where a car left the road and crashed into a number of walls.
Paramedics, firefighters from Foleshill station and police were dispatched to the incident at 4.50am but there was nothing paramedics could do to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene.
The wreckage was sealed off by police cordon and Radford Road closed in both directions between the Villa Road junction and the Dugdale Road junction.
A diversion was put in operation.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews were called to reports of a car that had left the carriageway and had been in collision with a number of walls.
“On arrival at the scene the driver of the vehicle was assessed.
“Unfortunately it quickly became apparent that nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed deceased at the scene.”
Police would like any witnesses to the crash to contact them on 101.
