EastEnders was the top-rated soap on New Year's Eve, overnight figures show.
6.15m (29.3%) watched at 7.30pm on BBC One as Ronnie's feud with Carl led to a violent showdown. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 353k (2.0%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale attracted 5.7m (27.0%) at 7pm on ITV and 201k (1.0%) on +1 as Sam was put in the frame for the Home Farm fire.
Holby City interested 3.75m (18.5%) at 8pm on BBC One as the Guy and Zosia storyline continued.
Hollyoaks managed 837k (4.0%) at 6.25pm on Channel 4 as Ruby was rushed to hospital and Nancy exposed Frankie's fling, while E4's first look had 532k (2.5%) at 6.55pm and 131k (0.6%) on +1.
