EastEnders stays ahead of Emmerdale in the ratings

EastEnders was Thursday evening's top-rated soap (November 7), overnight figures show.

The latest visit to Walford, which saw Bianca warn David over his motives for returning to the Square, pulled in 7.12m (32.8%) at 7.30pm on BBC One. Later, BBC Three's repeat screening had 391k (2.6%) at 10.30pm.

Emmerdale interested 6.95m (33.8%) at 7pm on ITV and 102k (0.5%) on +1 as Priya's pregnancy storyline began. 6.4m (28.8%) returned at 8pm and 322k (1.5%) on +1 as Priya lied to David over her news.

Hollyoaks brought 1.15m (5.7%) to Channel 4 at 6.30pm and 106k (0.5%) to Channel 4+1 as killer Will's story came to a dramatic conclusion, while E4's first look secured 944k (4.6%) at 7pm and 160k (0.7%) on +1.

Over on Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 602k (9.1%) at 1.45pm and 952k (5.9%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 266k (3.9%) at 1.15pm, 734k (4.1%) at 6pm and 482k (2.4%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.48m (22.4%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
