Scenes of Warwick are included in a new book of photographs, Warwickshire Through Time by Jacqueline Cameron.

Jacqueline was born in Warwick and now lives in Leamington.

She said: “Warwickshire and its villages have always held a place in my heart.

“I remember as a child seeing the Warwick Castle peacocks wander around the town causing havoc.”

In the section on Warwick she points out that the great fire of 1694 destroyed almost all of the town centre and was rebuilt in the 18th century.

In the top picture the fountain in the middle of the square was built to commemorate Queen Victoria and Prince Albert’s visit to Warwick in June 1858. Alas, the fountain is no more. The second picture is of the Saxon Mill, now a pub/restaurant.

Warwickshire Through Time, Amberley Publishing, £14.99.
