Emmerdale continued to perform well on Thursday evening (October 17) with the dramatic conclusion to the killer Cameron storyline, overnight figures show.

7.75m (37.8%) tuned in at 7pm on ITV and 236k (1.1%) on +1 as Alicia was in a critical state in hospital after being shot. The audience increased to 7.89m (35.2%) at 8pm and 583k (2.7%) on +1 as a shocking underwater showdown in The Woolpack's cellar led to Cameron's death.

EastEnders interested 6.71m (32.3%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Phil decided to forgive Ronnie, while BBC Three's repeat screening secured 344k (2.3%) at 10.30pm.

Waterloo Road attracted 2.61m (12.0%) at 8pm on BBC One as Nikki's daughter arrived at the school.

Hollyoaks brought 864k (4.7%) to Channel 4 at 6.30pm and 103k (0.5%) on +1 with the continuing aftermath of the explosion, while E4's first look had 669k (3.2%) at 7pm and 111k (0.5%) on +1.

Over on Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 668k (10.1%) at 1.45pm and 898k (6.5%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 230k (3.4%) at 1.15pm, 576k (3.6%) at 6pm and 393k (2.1%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, Doctors' Jane Austen week continued with 1.17m (17.9%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
