8.72m (40.0%) tuned in to ITV at 7.30pm and 206k (0.9%) on +1 to see Stella hit rock bottom over Karl's crimes, while the audience increased to 8.91m (37.7%) at 8.30pm and 279k (1.2%) on +1 as her downward spiral continued.
Emmerdale attracted 7.33m (35.7%) at 7pm on ITV as Debbie's scheme against Cameron began, adding 145k (0.6%) on +1.
EastEnders interested 7.01m (30.3%) at 8pm on BBC One with the build-up to Jean's exit. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 284k (2.1%) at 10.30pm.
Hollyoaks managed 1.04m (5.7%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Will killed again, while the aftermath on E4's first look had 686k (3.4%) at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 696k (9.8%) at 1.45pm and 890k (6.1%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away had 278k (3.8%) at 1.15pm, 692k (4.1%) at 6pm and 365k (2.0%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.44m (20.4%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
