Britain's Got Talent topped the Saturday night ratings...

The Eurovision Song Contest scored 7.7m (35.3%) for BBC One on Saturday, overnight data suggests.

The annual show, which saw the UK's entrant Bonnie Tyler finish 19th, was up 230k on last year, peaking at 9.22m. It aired between 8pm and 11.30pm.

However, Britain's Got Talent maintained its lead on the Saturday night ratings, pulling in 8.8m (38.1%) from 7.30pm on ITV - down 1.74m on last week. It peaked at 9.31m, while a further 455k (1.9%) caught the programme on ITV+1.

Later on ITV, gameshow The Cube had 3.2m (13.8%) at 8.45pm and The Jonathan Ross Show took 1.7m (8.1%) an hour later.

Earlier, Doctor Who finale 'The Name of the Doctor' appealed to 5.46m (25.9%) viewers from 7pm, up 720k on last week.

BBC Two aired Sincerely, F Scott Fitzgerald: A Culture Show Special at 8.30pm, picking up 540k (2.3%). Flog It! gave the channel its best ratings of the day, scoring 1.62m (7.6%) at 7pm.

Channel 4 showed movies Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps from 7.15pm, attracting 690k (3%) and 870k (4.1%) respectively.

Elsewhere, Channel 5 aired a double bill of NCIS, scoring 672k (2.9%) and 1.12m (4.8%) respectively from 8pm. Law and Order: Special Victims Unit grabbed 789k (3.6%) at 10pm.

Britain's Got More Talent was the highest rated show on the multichannels with 921k (3.9%) on ITV2 at 8.45pm.
