'Britain's Got Talent' tops Saturday ratings with 9.51m

Britain's Got Talent topped the ratings on Saturday evening (May 4) with 9.51m (45%), overnight data suggests.

The ITV show, which aired between 7.15pm and 8.15pm, peaked at 10.27m, while a further 603k (2.7%) caught the programme on ITV+1. The ratings are up 200k from last week.

The Voice UK ratings also grew for the fifth consecutive week, scoring 7.99 million (35.3%) from 8pm. The BBC One show peaked at 9.8 for its latest episode, which featured the last of the blind auditions.

Later on ITV, gameshow The Cube remained steady on 3m (13.4%) at 8.15pm, while The Jonathan Ross Show had 2.69m (12.8%) an hour later.

Back on BBC One, new Doctor Who episode 'The Crimson Horror' attracted 4.61m (25.2%) viewers from 6.45pm, while Casualty had 4.96 (23.9%) at 9.30pm.

BBC Two aired coverage of World Championship Snooker between 7pm and 10.45pm, picking up 1.46m (7%).

Channel 4 showed JJ Abrams's 2009 Star Trek reboot at 9pm, bringing in 1.45m viewers (7.6%). Earlier, Sarah Beeny's Selling Houses and Grand Designs attracted 550k (2.7%) and 830k (3.7%) respectively in the two hours from 7pm.

Elsewhere, Jesse Stone: Stone Cold scored 536k (3%) on Channel 5 between 6.15 and 7.30. It was followed by a double bill of NCIS, which took 567k (2.6%) and 835k (3.7%).

Britain's Got More Talent was the highest rated show on the multichannels, pulling in 925k (4.1%) on ITV2 at 8.15pm.
