Our post is being delivered normally. The Coventry Observer was delivered normally. It is only binmen and housing association employees who apppear to be unable to carry out their normal duties?

People seem to have forgotten already?

This Wednesday we had our first 'normal' collection in many weeks. A local shopkeeper I spoke to said he had his waste collected by a private contractor without fail every Monday during the same period regardless of the weather conditions. I also witnessed an off-duty fire-engine of the same weight and specification as a bin lorry negotiate without difficulty one the side roads which City Services had claimed was "impassable".

It wasn't just the bins. Pavements around here have not been swept in many weeks and we lost most of our street lighting at one stage.

Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

Can't believe a city like Coventry aren't capable of getting their act together with rubbish collections/street cleaning etc. It's an absolute disgrace and I'm shocked.

I hope we have a bin collection this week or else I'll be stuck with it over the entire holiday period (again) :begging:
