Earlsdon house targeted in 'hate crime' attack

Postby dutchman » Mon Nov 05, 2012 4:08 pm

POLICE are treating an incident of criminal damage at a house in Coventry as a hate crime.

Officers were called to a property in Earlsdon Avenue North on October 27 to reports that windows had been smashed.

The family who lived in the home said they were targeted because their daughter was due to marry a Hindu man in a Sikh temple.

The wedding went ahead without incident.

Despite a thorough search of the area the people behind the vandalism were not found.

Inspector Westley Martin said: “Police are investigating the criminal damage as a hate crime and are treating this as a priority.”

Call police on 101 if you can help.
