Coronation Street topped the soap ratings on Monday evening (August 20) as the show's surrogacy storyline continued, overnight figures show.
The Weatherfield drama pulled in 7.37m (36.4%) at 7.30pm and 201k (0.9%) on +1 as Owen fuelled Chesney's doubts over Katy's plans. 7.81m (34.1%) then watched at 8.30pm and 214k (0.9%) on timeshift as Chesney made a big decision over where he stands on the matter.
EastEnders, meanwhile, attracted 7.06m (31.9%) at 8pm on BBC One as everyone turned against Jay following last week's events. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 778k (5.1%) at 10pm.
Emmerdale interested 5.89m (32.4%) at 7pm as the pressure on Rachel intensified, adding 185k (0.8%) on +1.
Hollyoaks appealed to 865k (5.1%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Lynsey's killer was finally revealed, while the fallout on E4's first look was enjoyed by 559k (3.1%) at 7pm and 142k (0.6%) on timeshift.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 592k (8.0%) at 1.45pm and 825k (6.6%) at 5.30pm, while classic episodes of Home and Away on 5* mustered 103k (0.7%) and 107k (0.6%) at 6pm and 6.30pm respectively.
Elsewhere, the latest edition of Doctors - titled 'The Great Unwashed' - was seen by 1.34m (18.1%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
