Sky Blues supporters still without their car park tickets for the new season have been reassured they will still be able to park at the club’s first home game tomorrow.

Many fans have taken to forums in recent weeks to speak of their frustration at not having received their season car passes for the Ricoh Arena and not knowing whether they can park at tomorrow night’s game against Sheffield United.

The club has now apologised for the delay in posting out car park booklets but says anyone still without their tickets tomorrow should have no problems parking in the area where they had booked.

The cost of a season car park ticket ranges from £165 to £199 at the arena.

Parking on the day is charged at £10.

A spokesman for Coventry City Football Club apologised to fans who had paid for their parking up front but assured them they would not be turned away ahead of Coventry City’s 7.45pm kick off tomorrow.

He said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

“There has been an issue with regards to some car parking booklets, which we are working to resolve.

“However, any supporters attending the game on Tuesday who have purchased a car park season ticket will have their names put onto a list and will be checked off when they enter the car park on arrival.”
