"From Blackpool to Benidorm" Yesterday (Freeview Ch12)

I was lucky enough to catch this one-off documentary last night. Ruth Madoc of Hi-De-Hi fame presented a history of ordinary family holidays in the 1960s. The programme is exemplary in two respects. First, its almost total use of archive colour footage. Secondly it is much more historically accurate than many similar programmes.

Scheduling is a bit erratic on Yesterday so check your TV guide to find the next showing, you won't be disappointed.

I caught this earlier today (8.00 ish) and it really was a very good programme. - Definitely recommended
