Card skimming device found on Coventry cashpoint

Postby dutchman » Mon Jul 23, 2012 11:20 pm

Customers at a Coventry bank are being asked to check their accounts after a card-skimming device was found on a cash machine.

The device was spotted outside the NatWest branch in Foleshill Road on Friday.

A customer alerted the manager who used scissors to remove the device. The matter was then reported to police.

A NatWest spokesman said: “If any customers believe they may have been affected by fraud, they should contact their bank and the police as soon as possible.

“Fraud is an industry wide issue and where there is any evidence of fraudulent activity, we work with the police and other authorities to tackle this crime.”
