The city-based Koco charity, which supports people in the community, is running two free memory cafe cognitive therapy sessions for those with dementia or Alzheimer’s at the Rose Community Centre, Spon End.

Koco charity staff will use a combination of memory boxes, music and food to stimulate sufferers’ memories during the specialist workshops on Monday, July 9, and Monday, July 16. Both will run from 11am until 1pm and carers are welcome to attend.

For more information, contact Grant Murray, administrative support officer, on 024 7671 4988.

It's in Hope Street, just behind the YWCA building as viewed from the Butts Road.

And thank goodness someone finally differentiated between Alzheimers and Dementia, they are not the same thing!
