Emmerdale was Thursday evening's (June 28) most-watched soap as Charity and Jai's marriage hit the rocks, overnight figures show.
The ITV1 drama's hour-long episode pulled in 5.63m (29.2%) from 7pm as the couple's issues began to intensify during a family gathering, adding 218k (1.0%) on +1.
Hollyoaks attracted 744k (4.4%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Mitzeee faced up to a possible future in prison, while a shocking turn of events in E4's first look was witnessed by 520k (2.9%) at 7pm and 160k (0.7%) on timeshift.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 566k (8.0%) at 1.45pm and 812k (5.8%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away had 680k (4.3%) at 6pm and 500k (2.9%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
