Coventry butcher Aubrey Allen has added another accolade to its impressive haul after winning a national burger competition.
The local business stormed the final round of the England’s Best Burger Challenge 2012 to win the Manufacturing category with its coarse cut burger.
Simon Smith, sales manager at Aubrey Allen, said: “We are absolutely delighted. As a relatively small family-run business, we work very hard to produce the best products for our customers, so it is wonderful to be recognised for our commitment to quality.
“We’ve only been producing the coarse cut burger for a year. We did a lot of research and made little tweaks along the way, only using the best quality beef.”
